The first floor comprises of a beautiful colonial style living room adjoining the large kitchen and dining area through which you reach the amazing courtyard with its stunning swimming pool. Four comfortable and spacious bedrooms with luxurious en-suite bathrooms complete the house and make Casa Canto a very special place for a wonderful holiday.
Ground floor (3 bedrooms)
There are three ground floor double en-suite bedrooms with beautiful tiled floors and original antique doors. The bedrooms can be set up as a double or a twin accommodation depending on preference. Each room has its own bathroom with underfloor heating, heated towel rail and a separate toilet.
There is a large bedroom at the front of the house of 27m2 with a bathroom with double sinks, shower, separate toilet and access to the patio.
The second bedroom to the front of the house also has its own bathroom, double sinks, shower and separate toilet over 18m2.
The spacious bedroom at the courtyard side of the house has a stunning vaulted ceiling with a bathroom which comprises of double sinks, bath, shower and separate toilet, totalling 30m2 and with access to the courtyard.
The stairway in the hall takes you to the First Floor where you find the fully-equipped kitchen with breakfast bar and adjoining dining area and the colonial-style lounge with comfortable seating, a flat-screen TV and wood-burning stove.
There is a large roof terrace of 35m2 with views over the village providing a cool ocean breeze on the hot summer evenings.
The utility room with guest toilet, washing machine and ironing facilities complete this floor.
The large fully equipped kitchen includes a 6 ring gas hob, large electric oven, dishwasher, American fridge/freezer with ice cube machine, an extra fridge, microwave and a Senseo coffee machine. Wi-Fi is available but due to the thickness of the walls in the house it only works in the kitchen, living room and courtyard.
The colonial-style living room has original, double window shutters and antique parquet flooring, comfortable leather Chesterfield seating and a wood-burning stove to enjoy the cooler evenings. It is equipped with a flat-screen TV with satellite, sky TV and DVD/CD player en very nicely decorated. There is also a large roof terrace with view over the old village.
Courtyard floor (1 bedroom)
The courtyard level at the back of the house is reached through a small staircase from the kitchen. There is a partly covered area of the courtyard which offers optimal privacy and the eye-catching 30m2 swimming pool is truly amazing, especially in the evening when the lights reflect in the water and onto the arches. During the day enjoy the tempting sunbeds or choose one of the shaded areas if prefered. To retain the character of the courtyard as much as possible one of the pillars of the old arcade stands in the pool and the patio is tiled with original Portuguese calçada.
Under the covered area of the courtyard, there is a rustic BBQ that can also be used as a fireplace allowing you to enjoy the beautiful Algarve evenings. The large robust dining table offers plenty of space for all the guests it truly is the perfect spot to wine and dine on long summer nights.
This is also the level you will find the 4th bedroom, with 26m2 of space, it still has the original old front doors and access to the street. Again with an attractive bathroom with bath, shower, double sinks, floor heating, towel heater and separate toilet.
